The bars of the mouthpiece are fixed between the D-Bit cheek pieces, while the port is double-hinged and rotates 360 degrees, making this bit ideal for horses that struggle to find comfort with a traditional bit. The bit features a swivel port that allows for horizontal rotation, freeing the D-Bit cheek pieces to move independently. The main advantage of the swivel port is that the horse can adjust the mouthpiece to find the most comfortable position, effectively reducing tongue pressure.
