Suitable for horses with little space in the mouth e.g. thoroughbred types or older horses (due to change in tooth alignment), horses with large tongues and, in particular, ones sensitive to pressure points on the tongue. The full cheek bit sits very quietly and is very stable in the mouth. It provides reliable lateral restriction without the risk of the skin or lips being pinched by the angled is a very steady bit, no pinching by angled supports.
